I am not sure that I can completely understand your comments. Would you be so kind as to expand on your reasoning a little more before I comment.

I've come to the same conclusion as you. My feed reader takes about 2 weeks to get up to 500 unread articles though heh, so I read it once a week and I'm unsubscribing from things that take too long to sort through with not much gain (making the signal/noise ratio better.)

I have been thinking of doing something along the lines of what Rui Carmen has, which is a load of feeds, but then run through a bayesian sorter to filter out the items he doesn't want to see, and further increase the signal/noise ratio.

Hi Peter. You're probably right - I love the idea of Applescript but it has always felt like too much effort to learn. Likewise with RSpec - I liked the idea, but it's only now that I have been forced to learn it.

This strikes me as the same reason why AppleScript is easy to read but the learning curve is steep due to the English-but-it-isn't-really-ness of it.

[...] Rahoul Baruah placed an interesting blog post on Why every small business needs an Organisation ChartHere’s a brief overviewWell how else can I swan about on a golf course like a real corporate executive? You’re not no-one until you’ve got an Org Chart. Well, actually, there is a real reason for it. And it’s nothing to do with golf (thank goodness). … [...]
